Interested in reactivating a social justice network during or post Covid-19?
Mercy Sister Angela Reed, head of Mercy Global Action at the United Nations, will facilitate a series of seminars online via Zoom.
This interactive series will provide the opportunity for all participants to:
– reflect on their experience,
– listen to and share experiences with others,
– analyse our findings around human rights frameworks and socio-economic and political systems,
– consider these experiences in light of the Gospel, Tradition and Catholic Social Teaching, and
– discern pathways to action which enable us to express both our lived experience and our faith.
Three sessions will be held online via Zoom on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm on August 6th, 13th, & 20th.
These three evenings will be helpful to parish social justice teams, those involved in outreach ministries, including St Vincent de Paul Society members, Asylum Seeker and Refugee Support groups and anyone who is interested in reactivating a social justice network during or post COVID-19.
